Smartphone

Smart phones, we use smart phones everyday for anything that comes up, a smart phone will have the solution to our problem. The positive effects of smart phones would be you are never out of touch, you will have anybody at a touch of a button. You can call a friend for a homework assignment or your wife to remind her not to cook tonight due to a date we have. Smart phones help with sharing information but not only you share it, you share better with a smart phone. You can just email somebody straight off your phone, or post something on twitter or Facebook. By sharing this way you get the message better than instead of having to hear it from someone who had it pass by other people, you will get it exactly how it is. Another great advantage is
that you will always stay organised if you know how to get the best of your smart phone. You can set up your coming up events on your calendar, also set up reminders, with such technology you will on top of your schedule

On the other side, there is going to be a negative side to all this. With smart phones you do not need to do things that you use to do in person or by hand. Ever since phones came out our society has changed. People talk less in person and text more. We have struggle with face to face communication. Now that we have a smart phone we seem to depend only on the phone and not our brain. Nowadays we let the phone do everything while we just seem to get less accustomed to our capacity we have.  As David would say  “There have been new technology in the past that greatly and permanently changed behavior.” Just like the rest of technology there is always going to be both sides of the picture and just like David said it will always change people’s behavior in this subject.

To sum it up smart phones just as the IPhone and Android are great they can do anything you need them to do they are great for anybody. They fast with a competing app store, who is always trying to have new and cool apps for you, some that you have for entertainment and others for business related work.  Although it is a tight competition according to  Wilson Rothman
information he states  that  "Apple has a commanding lead over all other smart phone platforms with 230,000 and counting in the App Store. But Google's Android platform now claims 70,000. "

Technology in schools

In this blog we are going to focus on technology in our life, and how it has and it's going to impact us. Technology has changed the way we live and that is a fact.  It has comfort has us and made our life easier then how they were hundred years ago. Everywhere we go technology will surround us. In our jobs, school, homes, streets, it's everywhere. The student teacher dynamic has changed a lot since the introduction of technology in class structure. The instructor is no longer the information but instead a middleman between information and student. Instead of a passive sponge soaking up knowledge, the student has now become an active informational building, re-arranging and displaying information.

Children are understanding concepts better.Their skills are improving.More than the teacher writing on the blackboard this system leaves behind a better impact on children of all age groups. The children enjoy learning like this as,it is not boring like the lessons learnt on blackboard. As all children like computers and latest technology, this way of teaching is really helpful.

Students become more involved in the process of education instead of the traditional roles students assumed which are sleeping in class. The teacher, instead of being the center of attention, becomes a facilitator, which by students learn using modern technology. While at the same time videos and games are being integrated into the lives and classrooms of new generations. Also the Internet itself has unlocked a new way of opportunity for students. Information and ideas that were previously out of reach are a click away. Students of all ages can connect, share, and learn on a global scale. Success at difficult technological tasks

I have done an Interview about my subject to see what someone else thought.

Q1. How has technology influenced your life?

“ It has changed my life dramatically, my smart phone has made my schedule way easier.”

Q2. Would you go back to a time before computers came out?

“Definitely not. My work has to be done by computer; if not I would have to write hundreds papers and kept up with them.”

Q3.  In your opinion, what will technology will release in the future?

“In the future I think a robot computer that you talk to and it will do what you need it to do.”

Q4.  How has technology impacted schools?

“Schools have changed their teaching styles, schools rely on the Internet and work online more than they do using book work.”

Q5.  Do you think schools should push technology into the student's life?

“ Yes that is exactly what they need to do; considering that technology is now a major role in society. I would educated kids to get them ready for the work field.”

IPhone!

Iphone picture, located at:

The iPhone 4 is a smooth slab of metal, glass, silicon and electricity with design accents reminiscent of the color of obsidian. Somewhat taller and wider --- but definitely thinner --- than an Altoids tin, the iPhone is small enough to grip in your hand, and powerful enough to rule the world.

Exterior:

The iPhone 4 is sandwiched between two panes of glass. The front panel covers a multi-touch viewscreen laminated in an oil-resistant film. The outside edge is a single continuous band of brushed stainless steel alloy to which the guts of the phone are anchored; the steel band doubles as the iPhone's two antennae. Embedded along that band are the power, sleep/wake, ring/silent and volume buttons, the phone microphone, a 3.5-mm headphone jack, a multimedia speaker and a dock-connector port for syncing the iPhone with iTunes (among other connection purposes.) A single "Home" button adorns the front side below the view screen facing the owner, along with the earphone and a video camera for "FaceTime" video calling. A second camera lens is situated on the rear side facing away from the owner, accompanied by an LED light for taking five-megapixel pictures and shooting high-definition video in the dark.

Apps

As of 2011, the App Store houses between 300,000 and 400,000 apps available for instant download to the iPhone. Some are paid, some are free. There are apps for turning an iPhone into a TV remote control; discovering a classy burger joint in the immediate vicinity; drawing a funny mustache on a picture of your best friend; shooting virtual pieces of paper into a wastepaper basket; making multi-million-dollar transactions on eBay while sunning; tweeting about it; checking and organizing your personal philatelic catalog; sending a condolence card to your acne-beset teenager; letting your trash collector know about some rolled-up area rugs that require immediate removal...the list does not end. Ever.

How a website works?

Have you ever wondered how a Web page works? Have you ever wanted to create your own Web page, complete with titles and text and graphic icons? Have you ever heard the word "HTML" and wondered what it means? If so, then read on...

In this blog,  we will be looking at web pages and experiment with techniques that you can try out on your own website. creating a web site  is easy and a lot of fun. Why I chose this topic? "Everything on the World Wide Web is based around web pages. A web page is a single document, similar to a word-processor document, which displays text, graphics and other active elements." according to mediacollege.comBy the time you finish reading this blog, you will be ready to start  your own!

Because you are sitting at a computer, you have a Web browser and you possess the desire to learn, you have everything you need to get started. You can learn HTML and experiment with your Web browser to find out how to create any kind of Web page you can imagine.
  • Web page - A Web page is a simple text file that contains not only text, but also a set of HTML tags that describe how the text should be formatted when a browser displays it on the screen. The tags are simple instructions that tell the Web browser how the page should look when it is displayed. The tags tell the browser to do things like change the font size or color, or arrange things in columns.

  • HTML - HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language. A "markup language" is a computer language that describes how a page should be formatted. If all you want to do is show a long string of black and white text with no formatting, then you will not need HTML. But if you want to change fonts, and colors, create headlines and embed graphics in your page, HTML is the language you use to do it.

  • Web browser - A Web browser, like Netscape Navigator or Google Chrome. A computer program or a software application that does two things:
    • A Web browser knows how to go to a Web server on the Internet and request a page, so that the browser can pull the page through the network and into your machine.
    • A Web browser knows how to interpret the set of HTML tags within the page in order to display the page on your screen as the page's creator intended it to be viewed.
All this is just some brief information that I thought would be interesting to share. I have ask myself the same question so I figured I would post some brief information on it.

Technology

Technology advantage.

available at,  http://technologyinventory.tumblr.com/

Technology is something we use in an everyday basis. This subject is excellent to blog about because technology is growing every day; everyday something new comes into the market. Many argue that as we dig bigger and deeper into the beginning of technology we would kill society, by losing culture and ultimately a sense of self. This could be true to a certain point, but realistically if we keep moving forward to progress we won’t be able to survive.

There are many examples of advantages, Technology has the ability to create shortcuts in working and can make tasks easier also. Solid examples are cars, calculators and phones, through technology life may be faster but is also easier. To make this point a fact,  was that diseases we have today would be and could have become epidemics, if it were not for technology being there in the field of medicine, medical advances would not have happened or would have come years later

Transportation man has come a long way from horses and trains to cars that talk to you. It took months to cross the Atlantic Ocean now it only takes a few hours, even if they add to the pollution to the population but these conveniences are still used no matter what, even if it’s slowly killing humans and the universe regardless.

Communication is another big advantage of technology. Back in the day it took hours for a horse to deliver mail, or a train that was power with fire and coal. Nowadays it is instantly the way you can contact somebody. We have many things to get communication across; we now use phones, texting, emails, and social networks.

With technology we enjoy fun and relaxing things such as movies, television, fresh food and refrigerators, ovens. With all this negative things come, but now that they are discovered nobody is going to stop doing/using them. Although there is a bad side, as we explore more we will have to overcome this issue, either by fixing it or leaving it behind.
